Authorities report that an officer shot and killed a man who had brandished a knife outside a terminal door. The sequence of events began when St. Louis County Police officers observed an unidentified man in an unauthorized area near a terminal entrance. When approached, the man reportedly refused to comply with officers' requests to vacate the restricted zone.

Confrontation and Use of Force

According to St. Louis County Police spokesperson Vera Clay, the situation escalated rapidly. The man displayed a knife to the officers and, despite attempts to de-escalate using Tasers, continued to advance towards them. In response to the perceived threat, one officer discharged their firearm, resulting in the man's death.
