US Arrests Man for Alleged Embassy Firebomb Plot
Joseph Neumeyer, a 28-year-old dual citizen of the US and Germany, was arrested at JFK Airport in New York after being deported from Israel. He is accused of plotting to firebomb the US Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Details of the Alleged Plot
The Justice Department reports that Neumeyer allegedly made online threats and attempted a Molotov cocktail attack. Last month, he arrived in Israel and confronted a security guard at the embassy, spitting on him and fleeing. A backpack he dropped contained three Molotov cocktails.
Arrest and Charges
He was later arrested by Israeli police. Neumeyer also allegedly posted violent messages online, including threats against President Trump and the US. He claims to be the founder/CEO of Atlas Light Company.
